When you love what you do, sometimes things like this happen to you...

This Saturday, like any other Saturday, I had sent an email to update the Club members on how the Arraigo collection campaign was going this year.

In case it is the first time you are here, Arraigo is a very special Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

It is a project that was born from a conversation with Migue, a farmer from Puente Genil, who made a very special and unique oil every year, which he distributed only among family and close friends.

That Oil would be the one that would become Arraigo and Prima Mensa, but that is another beautiful story that I will tell you another day…

The fact is that, suddenly, I see this email that I want to share with you as I received it and it moved me to the point of tears…

You may read that email and not feel it is as exciting as I did at the time..

I will try to explain to you why I felt this way…

This is the second year that we put Arraigo “on the market” as Migue says. Endearing.

What’s so special about it?

Everything…

There is so much effort and sacrifice, so many hours, so much money invested (and wasted, I’m not going to deny it), so much faith in creating something unique, that never it has been seen so far in Spain.

Moments when you think about leaving everything, when it is not worth it, when you are not going to get people to appreciate what an authentic Olive Oil of a lifetime is …Of which there are already very few…

But then you get this email and everything changes…

It is then, and only then, that you realize that everything you have lost, you have actually gained.

In that you have helped to create something unrepeatable, unique and really special.

And that it’s worth moving on.

In that this is a project that has only just begun.

And that dream you had one day is beginning to come true.

If Arraigo is capable of making Franca feel that way, who was a granddaughter of olive growers and is now an 80-year-old grandmother, you know, 100%, that it is worth moving forward .

There are 6 generations coined in the knowledge of a single person, by inheritance and by legacy…

Not only that, you feel an obligation to move on.

We are creating a great family, the Mi Oliva Gourmet Club, where we are already more than 1700 people, those of us who really appreciate the value of authenticity. That we know how to enjoy and appreciate the flavour of the land, of the authentic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which cannot be found in any supermarket, in any store...

An Olive Oil, like Arraigo, the one that Migue selects every year directly in the olive grove, after a year of pampering and caring for each olive tree, which is not mixed…

An oil that we managed to get to houses like Franca’s without even 7 days having passed since the olives were harvested.
